Penalties

I thought it'd be cool to keep track of the penalties called this year, so I have started a spreadsheet tracking each penalty a player receives and the amount of each penalty each ref calls in a game. These are as accurate as I can get, but keep in mind, I am human and will probably miss a couple things from time to time.

So without further ado, here is the spreadsheet.

Enjoy!

Update: I have made the file small enough for google docs, so it is now located there, and no downloading is necessary.

It would be nice to know if a ref tends to call a particular call often.

I'm bummed I missed the TC/Omaha game. 146 minutes of penalties if I added them correctly.

114 in the first period where it must've been an all out brawl with just over 1 minute left. 5 ejections.

The ejections were changed to 10 min game misconducts.....

Well the ejected players aren't listed for the Storm tonight. Berge, P. Lamoureux, and Power aren't playing, its consistant with them being ejected.

Looking at the Omaha game tonight, White isn't playing either. Hepp is, but his ejection might have been changed like you say.

That's what's based on the list from Pointstreak tonight.

White and O'Neill were suspended for the Lancers.

O'Neil played the game out for the Lancers Friday nite.

The league went back and sort of corrected everything. Hepp got to play tonight but O'Neill sat. I'm not sure why Hudson still got to play for Tri City though.

Yes he did, the official made the wrong call by tossing Hepp and not O'Neill. It went under review and was reversed, so O'Neill sat out against Sioux Falls and Hepp played. Officials supervisor Scott Brand was in attendance, so it wasn't hard to make it right after the game. The official, whose name you can find for yourself on the pointstreak box score, has not been one of the league's stellar referees and this is his second year. He flat blew the call. Could we see another Derek Berkebile brewing?

is anyone else completely shocked chicago beat waterloo tonight?

Anonymous said...

surprised, not really shocked, Waterloo probably just didn't play well. Anyone can lose to anyone in this league.

Just want to thank the Waterloo coaches for dropping Ryan Kretzer from their roster. He's been a fantastic player for the Stars so far. Clutch goal tonight.

ha was going to say that too, but didn't want to be an ass. Must've been some reason Waterloo cut him, just don't know what exactly that is, haha. 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games (once pointstreak gets it right) and a shootout goal. Looks very good so far.

Anyone know what happened to the Buc's/Storm game? Pointstreak says it was postponed.
