USHL Draft

The draft will be held tomorrow, beginning at 9 am CST. You can follow along here and Chris Dilks at the Western College Hockey Blog will be providing commentary when he can on picks as it goes.

Be sure to check his site if you need some info on a kid, as he will probably know more about the draft picks than I will.

Side note, Tri-City's Alex Hudson has committed to University of Nebraska-Omaha for the 2008 season.

I'm much more interested in the pre-draft protected list of each team than the draft itself. Who did each team leave out to dry?

Why would Alex Hudson settle for UNO so early? I really see him stepping up his game this next season.

If he is in, as you quote, "NO WAY" settling for UNO..why would it be posted in the Kearney paper?

KEARNEY - The Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League learned Wednesday that forward Alex Hudson has committed to play his college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha beginning with the 2008-09 season.

Hudson, who just completed his third season with the Storm, will return to Kearney this September for his fourth year in a Storm jersey. A native of Corona, Calif., Hudson was the Storm's fourth-leading scorer this year with 16 goals and 28 assists for 44 points. He also led the Storm in playoff goals with four.

Hudson is the 17th player from the 2006-07 Storm roster to commit to a Division I hockey program. He is the fourth Storm player to commit to UNO joining Matt Ambroz, Kyle Ensign and Jordan Willert.
