New Goalie For Lancers?

Gregg Drinnan is reporting that recently released WHL goalie, Kris Lazaruk, could possibly end up with the Omaha Lancers.

The Kelowna Rockets have acquired C Ian Duval, 20, from the Moose Jaw Warriors for F Jesse Paradis, 17.
The Rockets were left with four 20-year-olds – G Kris Lazaruk, D Tysen Dowzak, LW Ryley Grantham, acquired from Moose Jaw on Thursday, and Duval. Thus, Lazaruk was released. It is believed that he will join either the AJHL’s Camrose Kodiaks or the USHL’s Omaha Lancers.

I'm kind of baffled on this one. Bliss traded for Nick Hopper and turns around and is involved in rumors of bringing in another overage goalie? I can hardly see Jeff Teglia getting released and you rarely see USHL teams carry 3 goalies, so that would leave Hopper.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds and if this WHL netminder can be anything like a former WHL goalie that spent time in the USHL last season.
