Cunti from Switzerland is a big, silky, very skilled forward who can really put up some points in this league. His unassisted breakaway was a beauty, as he beat a couple Gamblers and came in on Crandal at a bad angle and drew him across the crease before going top shelf on the short side with a backhander. If Cunti stays with the Steel for a while they will have a top 10 forward in this league in this big kid.

why should jake hansen get a star? just because he scored an overtime goal? Well if that's the case, jordan willert of tri-city should get one for his overtime goal AND regulation assist. 1 goal isn't that big of a deal.

Does a star on a USHL hockey blog really make a difference in your life?

Conboy jumped a kid 8 inches smaller, and 40 pounds smaller against SF? Why am I not surprised. Par for the course for Conboy. Spineless sissy.

You should post the article about the Buc's loss......Coach Regg ditched the older players on the team and said all of the younger players (16 & 17 year olders) were alot better. I bet that made Dorr, Matson, and Bruneteu happy!

awesome for Schultzie. I remember last year when he made the team no one really knew what he could do, even our coaches were pleasantly surprised with his ability. He's a great playmaker with great handling ability. I look for more good things from him in the future.

Mr. Ricochet, Cunti look good when he's on the offensive side of the puck. But to be a top 10 forward in this league, he'll have to learn that there are 4 other skaters (with the same color of jersey) on the ice with him.

I only saw Cunti once, so you have to consider the source here. He sure may be a puck hog, and I'm not sure he will play in all three zones either. Time will tell.

But I was very impressed with his size, strength and skill. The kid has all the tools to play at a high level. Whether or not he has the desire it takes to get there I can't say.....

Word going around is Miele played his last game for the Steel Monday in Ohio, he's off to college, so Cunti will be relied on to fill some of that void.

Tri-City "SHOCKED" Indiana? Nope. We BEAT 'em. We got better goaltending, we won the battles in the corners and Willert flat out beat an Ice defender to the puck along the end wall, then hit Hickey with a strike, that Hickey buried for the tying goal in the third period. Then, in the overtime, turned away an Indy rush that got no further than the top of the circles, turned it into a three-on-two break the other way, overloaded their end, where Willert scored on a turn around shot, that no Ice player could react to to stop.

Shocked? Nope. We beat 'em!
