Bryce Christianson

I received an email informing me that former Tri-City Storm and Lincoln Stars goalie, Bryce Christianson, appears to be headed to the University of Alaska-Anchorage. Christianson will enroll this coming semester and take the roster spot of injured UAA goalie, Matt Gordon. Gordon suffered an eye injury after he was hit with a puck during a game.

So far this season with the Vernon Vipers (BCHL), Bryce is 15-7-1 with a 2.92 GAA. He has helped his Vipers team to a solid hold on 4th place in the Interior Conference with 45 points.

This move will definitely hurt Vernon's goalie situation, but it should be an excellent move for Christianson. He is an Anchorage native, so he will get to play extremely close to home.

Welcome home Bryce! Thanks for choosing the home team.

Congrats to Bryce...but know that they came calling to a top NAHL Goalie first. The player was too loyal to leave his team midyear...like Okyposo did.

Best of Luck!

Too bad they went after a ushl back-up before the nahl goalie....

Has he signed??? we loved him in Lincoln...Our Coach screwed up our entire first half of this year because they wouldnt commit to him being num 1..They picked the wrong Goalies and we fans have suffered...Thank god we got Reekie....Bryce was unbelievable for us last year and a fan favorite I wish him the best...Vernon stole him from us...

1. christianson has been very average at every level he's played and thats being nice.
2. Alaska has offered that spot to so many average goalies because a legit one won't leave his team now, and would probably want to go elsewhrer.

most know that Moss of the NAHL Outlaws is one of the best goalies in Junior A hockey and he turned them down as he won't leave his team and will get a better offter in the long run.

Lincoln wouldn't commit to Christianson as #1 because they didn't want him back! Like in Tri-City, he's a high maintanence goaltender, whose father exerts too much interference, like Lindros's father did. He was bad in the locker room too. Even if Johnson hadn't left as coach, Christianson wouldn't have been back. No one in Lincoln screwed anything up in this situation.
