How is it that waterloo has 4 and other teams have one or two!!

WHAT!! no omaha goalies, but I thought they were the best in the league!

The Omaha goalies are too old to participate.

How can Drew Palmisano be too old?
He is an 88. The Hockey Canada East team has an 88 goalie on their roster.
I had read that there were to be restrictions on the North American entries but am not sure exactly they were.
Definitlely some interesting selections-ommisions.
Is USA Hockey sending a team to the Christmas tournament held bi annually in Northern Alberta? Perhaps that roster will have some more deserving selections.

I figured it was 18 and under, but since Canada is bringing a ton of 88's, I guess I was wrong.

Where are the NAHL players?

the nahl players are not good enough to be on the roster

Interesting tournament and never even heard of it until now. Guess will see which Junior program is the best in the world.

"NAHL PLAYERS AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH"..take a look at the USHL leading scorers on several teams and then make that comment! There are about 3 teams in the USHL that their lead scorers came from the NAHL...just last year! They are Omaha, Des Moines and Lincoln.

Canada East and Canada West have players representing all Jr. A leagues throughout Canada. Each team had a GM who scouted all the various Showcases of each league before picking his team.

IMHO, it's outrageous that the NAHL was completely ignored. Once again, USAH's "wonder league" gets preferential treatment.

You are only allowed 5- 19 year olds in this tournament. The Canadians that play in the USHL and the OHL are not allowed to play. The Canadian teams are made up of Tier II JR A. and Jr B. players. All the other teams will be sending there best players from where ever.

Nick Larson on the roster good player, not playing, go figure that pick

Gregoire for Lincoln didn't play in the NAHL.

How come he isn't playing?

P.K. is the coach go figure .What about Lee?

Who chose this roster?

Regg is the asst and DM only has one! It would be interesting to know who chose the roster because 20 picks are USHL, and one pick is USNDT. One would think there would be more representation or is this meant as a showcase for USHL on an international scale?
Could the reason for the one USNDT be because he was slated to come to the USHL and refused?!?!

Relax people. Different Larson. NAHL players are good, but few and far between. The best ones rise to the top, and move to USHL. Teams had a say in who goes, so teams lobbyed for who stayed here to win/who went. no one in USHL cares about this event, they care about winning. USA hockey picked this team after talking to each coach/gm.
breathe people, breathe.
USHL is a better LEAGUE, but there are good players EVERYWHERE. Don't be so sensitive.

I thought there would be more 90's on the team. Eric Ringel for one. USAH probably should of used this to pre scout players that they will require for the U18 tournament in April, as this years bunch are a cut below.

Keegan Flaherty has played in four of GB's 7 games. Interesting choice...

I second the above comment!!! I guess it may because most of the NAHL is 87's, 88's, 89's and rarely a 90!! I is a tough "whiskers" league with just a few high schoolers!

Think about it, the USHL age spread is 5 years...let's see if a 87" for example was a "senior" in high school he would be playing with a 91' who is a "eighth" grader! That is the kind of spead there is for ages!

Ooops! Age spread there is!
