News and Notes

INCH has features on some former USHL players, including Lincoln's Mick Berge, Sioux Falls' Drew Akins, and Green Bay's Sean Backman.

Couple things from Steel-land. First, they have hired Bill Downey to help their scouting staff. Second, they released ticket prices for this coming season, and you can go see all 30 home games (plus the exhibition games) for just $75. I sure I wish I could get a season ticket here for that price =).

Cedar Rapids names Matt Degel their new equipment manager.

Petry carves path of his own.

Petry played two years in the USHL, helping Des Moines win the Clark Cup Tier 1 championship during his first season. He had his first taste of competing against top-caliber talent of players ages 16-20. He had a goal and 16 points, building a foundation for the following season.

"It opened my eyes," Petry said of his first season in the USHL. "Winning that title is still to this day the best experience of my life.

"We had beaten Sioux Falls just once during the regular season. We beat them in games 1, 3 and 5 of the best-of-five finals series. We won by one goal in the final game, and that last minute was the longest minute of my life."

" Second, they [Chicago] released ticket prices for this coming season, and you can go see all 30 home games (plus the exhibition games) for just $75"

So does that mean that Ohio will be about $50, or maybe $25

New promotion, go to one game get the rest of the season free!

I wouldn't pay $10 for Chicago season tickets. How many first picks do you need to be a .500 team?
