NAHL Draft

There were several USHL draft picks/futures players taken, but I'm not really going to focus on them. If you want to check it out, click the link here.

Fargo-Moorhead drafted Sioux Falls Stampede forward Jake Drewiske. I'm not certain if that is just a wishful draft pick, or that Sioux Falls left him off their protected list and Fargo is hoping he will go there to play.

North Iowa drafted Green Bay Gambler Shea Walters. This is the second time he's been drafted (previously by Omaha) so it makes you wonder if he is truly going to Bemidji State next fall like originally planned. Just seems odd he'd be drafted in two different league if he were going to college this fall. North Iowa has had some interaction with Green Bay previously, acquiring the services of Bryant Skarda.


Update:
Fargo-Moorhead trying to woo top prospects.

They signed standout forwards Joe Schiller (3rd overall to Green Bay) and Jack Connolly (7th overall to Sioux Falls) and are doing everything in their power to get them to show up in Fargo.

Committed to the Bulldogs for the 2009-10 season, Connolly could play two seasons for the Jets.

Will the Jets even be around after the 07-08 season when the USHL Fargo franchise comes in?
