News and Notes

USHL referees will wear their special pink and black uniforms on Friday the 13th to help support breast cancer.

Kyle Okposo (Des Moines) may turn pro.

Though sources say the New York Islanders have not made an offer, indications are Okposo is prepared to accept a deal commensurate with being the seventh pick in the 2006 draft.
Adam Berkhoel (Twin Cities) was named to the ECHL All-First Team.

Matt Shasby (Lincoln/Des Moines) was named to the ECHL All-Second Team.

Chad Anderson (Tri-City) has signed with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. In another ECHL note, Bryan Schmidt (Tri-City) was re-assigned to Reading from Manchester.

The Lancers are currently without any radio coverage.

This insult that has been hurled at the refs will actully carry more weight. "Hey Ref, you must be pregnant you missed the first two periods"

Thou I still prefer: "Hey Ref! Get off your knees your blowing the game"
