"I actually went on a visit there (to the UW) last year, and I fell in love with the place," Dolan said. "I wanted to sign my letter of intent on the spot last year when I was there, and things kind of fell through. This year, I started playing well, and came back and have been talking with them a lot. And talking to my parents, I just felt that it was the best situation."
Dolan is having a huge year for the Steel. So far, he has notched 33 points (17-16--33) in 43 games. He only managed 18 points in 78 previous games with Indiana and Cedar Rapids.
This commitment comes as a surprise to me, but he has emerged as a scoring threat for the Steel this season, and I suppose those don't come around too often.
