League Happenings

Kingston's Aaron Rock has left the team and is back with Tri-City. Rock only recorded 3 wins in 27 games played in the OHL. Rock was arguably the best goaltender in the league last year for the Storm, but decided he wanted to try the OHL again. It's sad this kid gave up his college eligibility.

Tri-City traded rookie goalie Bryce Christianson to Lincoln.

Rock, who spent the first part of this season with Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League, will replace Bryce Christiansen on the Tri-City roster. Christiansen was traded to the Lincoln Stars in exchange for one pick in the USHL's 2007 and 2008 draft.

Chicago released the rights of forward Joe Whitney, but added the rights of Cretin-Derham Hall's Ryan McDonagh. I'm not sure why Chicago added him, I guess in hopes he decides to play 10 games after his HS season is over.

In another move, Chicago has released veteran forward Mike Janda. Janda wasn't the biggest scorer, but he brought leadership to the team and the Steel will miss what he brings to the rink.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette talks about the Gamblers and their host families.
