Chicago's Dan Lawson has committed to the University of Vermont for 2007 season. Excellent pick up by Vermont.

"Dan has been our top defenseman since my arrival and I forsee good things at the college level and possibly the pro level down the road," said Steel General Manager Jason Koehler. "He has a nice mix of size, skill, and physical presence when on the ice for us and will be a great addition to the Catamount hockey program next fall."


Lincoln has acquired forward Joey Miller from Lincoln for a draft pick.

* Lincoln acquired forward Joe Miller from Sioux Falls this week in exchange for a future draft pick. The Wayzata, Minn., product was a fourth-round selection of Sioux Falls in this year’s entry draft. He had two goals in 16 games with the Stampede this season.


Green Bay has released forward Justin Maciuk.

Omaha has added veteran forward Ryan Raven to its roster.
