Comrie Trade Follow-up

Omaha has traded forward Zac MacVoy to Ohio for Adam Comrie. MacVoy is gone after this season, so it doesn't make too much sense to acquire him, unless Comrie is for a fact going to the OHL and Harkins knew that.

MacVoy left the University of Michigan and was drafted by Omaha. He has recorded 13 points on the year for the Lancers.

Comrie wasted no time in racking up the points in a Lancer uniform, notching 4 points in his first 2 games with the team. Adam assisted on MacVoy's goal in Friday's win, and MacVoy assisted on Comrie's goal in Saturday's win.

Omaha also sent Andy Taranto to Ohio to complete the Drew Palmisano trade. Hastings had originally sent Dennis Urban, but he broke his collarbone in his Ohio debut.

Taranto managed just 2 assists in 22 games this season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets acquired Zac MacVoy from the Omaha Lancers in exchange for defenseman Adam Comrie, as well as obtaining Andy Taranto as part of the Drew Palmisano-Dennis Urban trade from last week, General Manager Don Harkins announced today.

"Andy has good size and speed and plays with an edge," said Harkins. "MacVoy is a power forward who has good size and a scoring touch. I talked to both players the other night on the phone and they are excited to come in and help our team after the Christmas break."

Ohio also added futures player George Michalke to the team and released Brian Prost.

Omaha added forward Nic Bownds to the roster, though I believe he was just in town for last weekend's games.

Comrie is definitely going to the OHL, give Harkins credit he found the kid and he knows he is a 1st round NHL Prospect.

Who gets credit? Are you saying he was not already drafted into the OHL before the USHL draft. He is canadian other wise he'd be at the NTDP.
