Muskegon ramping up for year one in the USHL

After 50 years of professional hockey, the City of Muskegon, Michigan is about to experience junior hockey first hand, as the Muskegon Lumberjacks gear up for their first season in the United States Hockey League. Here's a story from westerncollegehockeyblog.com about some of the players expected to be a part of the new team.

Assistant Coach Dave Noel-Bernier is a busy guy these days. He's on the road constantly, scouting for new players for the first edition of the USHL Lumberjacks. Here's a story from the Muskegon Chronicle's Ron Rop, giving readers a look into the life of an assistant coach building a brand new team.

And Ron Rop has another story about ongoing renovations/remodeling work taking place at Muskegon's L.C. Walker Arena.

The team is also looking for billet families, and are holding a pair of tryout camps next week at L.C. Walker Arena as well.
