News and Notes

Karlsson commits to Northeastern.

NTDP's Derek Forbort tops THN's Hot List.

Rall commits to Alaska-Anchorage.

A little delayed, but still a nice read on a former USHLer.

NY Yankees outfielder, Jamie Hoffmann, hoping for US gold.

Serratore commits to Minnesota.

Just a little comment on Serratore's commitment. This couldn't have happened to a better kid. He is always on the ice giving 150% and does what is asked of him. He's not a huge kid or a real flashy player, but he is one of those players with all the intangibles. Great job, Tom, and good luck in the maroon and gold. Here's a nice quote that sums up Tom:

"After his first couple weeks [in Youngstown], I was very impressed with Tom as an individual and as a leader," Carr said. "Everything you hear about Tom is in relation to his work ethic and how he does the little things: block shots, go to the net and be physical. He sometimes plays with a complete and utter disregard to his own body and safety, but that's the stuff guys feed off of."
