Another Jumps to the Major Junior Ranks

This morning, I learned that Omaha's Aaron Lewadniuk had signed with the WHL's Brandon Wheat Kings.

Lewadniuk was selected by Portland in the sixth round of the 2004 bantam draft. After he committed to the Bemidji State Beavers, the Winter Hawks dealt him to Brandon for a conditional draft pick.

Lewadniuk was originally scheduled to enroll at Bemidji State for this season, but something must have changed because it looked like he would spend one more year in Omaha before heading off to college.

Here is the official release from Brandon.
