Mike Lee Signs Tender With Fargo

The Fargo Force have announced Roseau Rams goalie, Mike Lee, has signed a tender to play for the Force. A few days ago, the Western College Hockey Blog mentioned that Lee was rumored to be foregoing his senior season at Roseau for Fargo.

"It looks like I'm going to be down there (in Fargo) for the whole season," said Lee, a St. Cloud State recruit who helped Roseau to the Class 2A state title in 2007. "But I'm not 100 percent sure. … Nobody leaves Roseau. It's such a family here. It would probably be easier for my family and for me to play (for the Force) before and after (the high school season)."

Lee said Roseau High School officials told him it would not be possible to play with the Force and the Rams, and also graduate and remain college eligible.

However, Lee said Roseau officials approached him after he signed with the Force with an offer to try to make sure he could play for both teams.

"They have to make sure I can take Internet classes," Lee said. "I wouldn't go to classes at all. I would take them online. Then when I was home in Roseau, I would go to the computer lab there while everyone else went to class."
