McGroarty Suspended

Lincoln coach, JIM McGroarty, has been suspended by the league for game 2 tonight. Here is a brief article from the Stars site.

Stars Head Coach Jimmy McGroarty will not be behind the bench for tonight's game, as he serves a one-game suspension imposed by the USHL resulting from an incident in Tuesday's playoff game against the Omaha Lancers. Late in that game, after a Lancer player was called for a check from behind penalty, both teams were involved in an altercation that eventually led to Lincoln's goaltender Kevin Murdock crossing the center line. As a result, the USHL has suspended McGroarty and issued fines to the Stars. The suspension and fine were appealed by the Stars.

Jim needs to be put in his place. He's getting a ego thats borderline arrogant.

Let me guess, you're an Omaha fan?

First throwing the marker on the ice, classless, then sending Murdick across the red line, who is the goon here, Jimmy is not going to last long and what is he teaching those wonderful young men

I think with Scott Brand at the game it did not help him seeing first hand what went down. He was in one of the boxes right across from the Stars bnch.

Is there any video of the altercation? I want to see that...

Sorry, no where to put this but Jon Cooper will be named head coach of the Green Bay Gamblers at the conclusion of the NAHL season.

Why cant you wait for the press release? Some people feel the need to blog news before the announcements are made. It is not respectful or appropriate. Ryan needs to control this.

For whoever posted the article, thank you. I removed it simply because USHR is a pay site and it is not fair to them for articles to be posted everywhere.

For the person who was upset, check out USHR, as they have the article and broke the news.
