Player Spotlight: John Kemp

Next up: Tri-City's Phil Ginand.

Name: John Kemp
Current Team: Indiana Ice
Position: Forward
Hometown: Arcadia, California
Date of Birth: February 4, 1987
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 185 lbs.
Stats: 10 goals, 48 assists
Previous Team: USNTDP
College: University of Nebraska-Omaha (2008)

Ryan: What is your favorite and least favorite arena (outside of your own) to play in and why?

John Kemp: My favorite arena to play in would probably have to be Cedar Rapids, and my least favorite would have to be Omaha, just because I hate the song "the heat is on" which is the song they play all the time there.

Ryan: You have many USHL games under your belt now. What has been your best memory as a member of the Ice, and why?

JK: Definitely our playoff run we had last year. It was an awesome experience and it was great to see our team come together and just play our best when it really counted.

Ryan: Describe your USHL experience so far.

JK: The USHL has been great. Every team is so well balanced that anyone can beat anyone. It's great to be able to travel and experience all these different cities and play in front of big crowds.

Ryan: What is the best part about playing for the Ice?

JK: It's a great city to live in and the Coliseum is great place to play. It's a very old arena and i just love the atmosphere in there.

Ryan: What factors came into play when you committed to Nebraska-Omaha?

JK: When I went on my visit I just really liked the campus and loved the arena. The coaches have also been great. They care alot about there players and are great guys.

Thanks to John for taking time to help out.

"Where are their players if they are there?" That is a very good question and makes alot of sense. Please do everyone a favor and never post a comment again. Thank You

What do you expect from Lancer fans? Their entire fan demographic are 13 year old puckbunnies who have the IQ of bean dip.

that's insulting to bean dips everywhere.

Omaha fans, don't hate on John Kemp. I can guarantee 99% of players in this league hate that sad excuse for a song you guys play 1000 times a game (why?? you're not the Omaha Heat??) I bet half your own players think it's retarded.

Their, there and they're might make sense if you ever made it past third grade. JMHO

I just looked at the questionarre and he used the word "there/their/they're" once in the entire thing. If you are that pathetic to try and find that kind of fault then i just feel sorry for you. Get a life you homo.

what a hot topic this is, no one even thought that the grammatical error might have been made by the publisher of this blog. come on, people, i mean, accidents happen, sometimes more in john's case, but let's let it slide and get back to the real topic: the Heat: is it on or off, and what is the source of this so-called 'heat'?

John Kemp is the best player in the USHL he passes like Adam Oates and controls the game he is a god amongst men. The only thing is he seems to get upset easily on the ice I wonder if he is easily rattled off the ice too

he hates omaha so much he's going there to play for 4 more years...what a schmuck

technically, he hates Council Bluffs since that is where the OMAHA Lancers play.
