Brett Bruneteau has been traded once again, this time to the Des Moines Buccaneers. This makes his third team in as many years. Brett should help Des Moines with their struggling offense. Indiana acquired highly touted defenseman, Ben Blood, in return for Bruneteau.
Looks like a beneficial trade for both sides.
With this move, it means Bruneteau will get to face his former Lancer teammates more often than when he was with Indiana.
Indiana press release.
Des Moines press release, and the Bucs also added forward Rocco Carzo from the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Carzo was a May draft pick of the Lincoln Stars.

Pointstreak shows that Trent Vogelheuber (sp..??) was released by des moines... he is an NHL draft pick.. does anyone have the story here??
Vogelhuber tore his ACL I believe.
Funny on the Bruneteau/Blood trade, one Sioux traded for another.
Vogelhuber is done for the year and is heading to college next fall, so it didn't make much sense to keep him rostered.
May not be the right place, but does anyone know how long Jared Festler is expected to be out?
LJS said Festler is to miss the next 3 games, which puts him out this week and should be back next weekend.
Doesn't your Head of Central Scouting carve the OHL about trades?
Festler is recovering from a concussion received in the World Junior tourney recently. He'll be back soon.
Good luck to Brett..he is going from a top team to a bottom team. I am not sure that one player can make a difference on such a bad team!
Bruneteau's wish to be traded from Omaha to a team that plays a more wide open game, did not work out to well for Brett. I am quite surprised that the Bucs would give up a D-man of Blood's ability for a forward with 1 gaoal and 6 assists in 14 games. I guess Bruneteau should have stayed in Omaha.
I wish Brett the best luck , but Still don't see why in the world the Bucs gave up Blood for him .
In a trade to get something good you have to give up something good in return. To get Brett no sane coach is going to take draft picks on a 3rd year USHL player with a D-1 commitment. Time will tell how this trade affects both teams.
I wish Brett well..Whatever is going to make him sucessfull is great..Just keep it up!! I'm kinda a curious how this trade will effect both teams!!
