Ohio's Tim Hall Commits

Great addition for the Tigers. Hall was one of the few Blue Jackets that impressed me last season, and let's not forget he was just 16 years old. He should have a solid college career. The official press release will follow.


Columbus, OH- The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the United States Hockey League are proud to announce that forward Tim Hall has committed to Colorado College of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association for the 2008-09 season..

The 5’8” 160lbs forward from Sewickley, PA was the Junior Blue Jackets leading scorer with 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points in the Junior Blue Jackets inaugural season. Junior Blue Jackets Head Coach Jack Fritsche stated:” We are happy that Tim has made his decision; Colorado College is receiving a gifted player for its squad. We wish all the best.”

Hall will be the 7th Junior Blue Jacket on the current roster that has committed to a college team. “This is a great day for our organization, we congratulate Tim and his family on this decision, we look forward to seeing his development in the future.” stated Junior Blue Jackets General Manager Don Harkins.

Hall was being considered by Miami (OH), Michigan State, Boston University and the University of New Hampshire.

The Junior Blue Jackets open its exhibition season on September 23rd against the Indiana Ice at the Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena in Newark, OH, game time is 1:00PM.
