I have put the Chicago tryout camp roster up, but it is only the roster from their all-star game. It was the best I could do.
Tri-City is the first team to make their 25 man protected list public. And with that, the first veteran has been cut. Sean Wiles did not make the 25 man list for the Storm, as they still have an extra 87.
Sioux Falls has released their list as well as Sioux City.
Also, a couple of side notes. The article from Sioux Falls also mentioned that the schedule will be released tomorrow. Lincoln is also supposed to name their new head coach tomorrow.
USHL has released all the protected lists. I will be updating the spreadsheets shortly.

I believe Sean Wiles has accepted an offer in the last week for a D1 School?
I looked at the Storm's web site and it shows 25 players plus 7 affiliates which totals 32. Can someone shed light on the formula between players and affiliates?
I don't understand either. I know of 2 players on the affliate list that have been told they are on the team for next season
they are placed on the affilates list so they are property of the Storm and not free agents.
I'm new to this, but if the Storm are for sure having some affiliated players on their roster for next season, why do the Storm have 25 guys on their roster then? Because I remember Lincoln did this last year and released 2 players after the first weekend of the season and added Kyle Follmer and someone else who had already been with the team to the roster immediately...
in tri citys case.... im sure they are waiting to see what tommy mannino does, if he goes back to the storm or the ohl. as well as to see if they can get david carle to report this year. and if they cannot get either then they will take either thocker or heath. id also believe that the 91 oliver will be playing before and after his high school season creating an extra spot.
are Fisher and Sexton heading off to college in 07 now? Why else would they be left off SF roster?
Fisher committed to Minnesota a month or so ago. Sexton is likely to commit soon.
sexton is off the market. bowling green got him today.

Interesting that the Lancers protected lists does not show Nick Larson or Drew Conboy. Nick Larson was a Minnesota recruit for 2008 and Conboy a UNO recruit for 2008. Both were to play this year for the Lancers. I assume Larson will go to Minnesota this fall,I don't know if Conboy is going to UNO or going to sign a contract as he was drafted in the NHL draft last week. Anyone have any ideas?

Anonymous' who asked: Last year, USHL teams could keep up to 12 players in addition to the 23 on the roster on their affiliated list during the regular season. 88's could be on for one year, 89's for 2, and 90's for 3 without having to draft them, add them, or worry about someone else sniping them.
Every time a team wanted to play a player on the affiliates list (due to injury or whatever) that team had to fax a form to the league to the effect of "We are playing this affiliated player in this game." Each affiliated player could play up to and including 6 games with the big club. If the team wanted to play that affiliated player in more games, he would have had to be added to the roster.
Because there is no affiliated minor league (like the AHL to the NHL), this allowed the USHL teams to have prospects and give them a few games without sacrificing their standing with the organization.
I think there are fewer affiliate spots per team this season, but again I don't know. I was working in the league last year, and that's how it worked. The Future's Draft will, for example, allow the Storm to add 5 more affiliated players for a total of 12 (under last year's system).
did sexton get a 4/4 to bently? why did he uncommit there?
Danny Sexton did not have a full ride to Bentley. They only have 11 scholarships to give so to give 1 of them to one player typically does not happen. Once he decommitted after an excellent playoff season, he had several schools in other conferences looking at him. At SF's tryout camp, he was by far the best player on the ice. A previous poster (on 7/2/07) indicated that he has committed to Bowling Green where he recently visited.
Indiana might be in trouble real soon. Their 2 goalies - Muse and Darling - are 2008 recruits. Muse most likely will move up to 2007 with Boston College's Schneider signing with Vancouver today. Darling would do the same if Bishop were to sign with St Louis during or after their prospect camp.

Thanks anonymous! Its great to hear Wiles will play d-1, and especially in the WCHA. I hope he continues to progress there, and he will one day soon be a great player if he can add some bulk to his size.
muse did move to 07', darling is for sure going to play for indiana Ben Bishop has already said he is going to play at Maine next year. so it looks like indiana will ride one goalie this season
Travis Novak will not be coming to SCSU until '08 but he's not on Omaha's list. Anyone know where he is playing next year?
No, NO ONE will be playing for the Storm before and after their high school season. Coach Littler has stated publically that, after the "debacle" that Patrick White put the team through this past season, that no one would EVER play high school and Storm hockey in the same year again. EVER.
