Committment News

Omaha's Chris Hepp has committed to St. Cloud State University. Hepp, who recently left Air Force, wasted no time in making a committment to another school. Hepp has recorded 1 assist in 6 games since his return. Chris is an extremely tough and physical kid and should help St. Cloud's blue line when he enrolls, which I assume will be next fall.

Lincoln's Matt Bartkowski has committed to Ohio State University. Matt has notched 4 points in 28 games (1-3--4) and is a -3 on the season. The Pittsburgh native becomes the 14th player to make a committment to the Buckeyes. Bartkowski will enroll in the fall of 2008.

Hepp would have to sit out a full season per NCAA transfer rules before he could see the ice at St. Cloud. So he may be attending school next fall but he wouldn't be playing for them next year.

Will Hepp be too old to play another season in the USHL? Is it possible for him to be enrolled at St. Cloud and play another year in Omaha?

he has another year of eligibility left. Couldn't he take college courses while in Omaha so he wouldn't have to sit out next year if he were to enroll?
