Ryan Rondeau

The Waterloo Black Hawks site reports goaltender Ryan Rondeau has commited to play hockey next fall at Yale University.

Rondeau, a Carvel, Alberta native is in his first season with the Black Hawks, and is currently at or near the top of every league statistical category for goaltending. He has a record of 6-1-2 and holds a goals against average of just 2.40.


Ryan also has a .909 SV%, good for 4th in the league. Rondeau has also recorded a shutout this season, making him only 1 of 6 to record one this season.

Next season at Yale, Ryan will battle with Billy Blase and Alec Richards. Blase will be a sophomore and Richards will be a junior. Blase spent time with Sioux City at the start of the 05/06 season before being released and joining the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL. Richards spent time with the Indiana Ice at the end of the 04/05 season.
