Patrick Johnson Commits

Lincoln's Patrick Johnson has made a verbal committment to attend the University of Wisconsin. Johnson will enroll next fall.

The Madison, Wisconsin native has recorded 13 points in 13 games for the Stars.

Patrick Johnson is aware of his family's standing with the University of Wisconsin men's hockey program.

Knowing he'll continue the tradition that started with his grandfather and ran through his father and uncle is an overwhelming sensation.

Johnson, a 17-year-old winger and the son of former Badgers great Mark Johnson, has verbally committed to play for the UW next season.

"I'm still in shock about it," he said. "It still hasn't hit me yet, to be honest with you."

Committing to any Division I hockey program is special for Patrick Johnson, but he is particularly excited to come home. "Especially because it's Wisconsin," he said.

Johnson is an excellent pickup for Wisconsin. He will bring some much needed offense to their program.

Some of these are old and some new, some fantasy and some true. But entertaining, I hope. Otherwise, every computer I know of features a 'delete' key...

In the 1400's a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb. Hence we have "the rule of thumb"

Many years ago in Scotland , a new game was invented. It was ruled "Gentlemen Only...Ladies Forbidden"...and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language.
