Another One Down

Another OHL player has dropped down to the USHL rankings. This time the player comes from the Erie Otters. The player, Christian Olsen, has been added by Sioux City. Olsen has 16 career points in 69 games for Erie before coming to Sioux City.

Christian will bring some much needed size to the Musketeers forward group, as he stands in at 6'4" 210 lbs. The size of this kid reminds me of former Musketeer Christiaan Minella, who stood 6'2" and weighed in at 205.

Olsen should be in the lineup Friday when Sioux City travels to Kearney to take on the Storm. I'm guessing someone will need to be dropped, as Sioux City previously added Kevin Quick to the team after placing Sean Coffey on IR.

EDIT: Quick has been released, as he decided he wanted to stay home.

In some other roster moves today, Omaha released Joe Cucci. Cucci never played in a game for the Lancers.

Chicago Steel released defenseman Gabe Heller.

Indiana activated veteran defenseman Eric Olimb from the IR and released journeyman Toby Heaslip.

1. Quick doesn't have a number with the Musketeers yet, so him being added may be more of a "I hope he comes" type of thing.

2. Chris Heisenberg has Cucci making a committment to Merrimack, so maybe that is where he will play.

i see that lundin didnt dress for SF. And Hartzell was added. Any info on that yet?

Lundin was suspended for 2 games by Coach Hartzell for behavior problems. Eric was brought up to play in his place but 2 of the tree games this weekend got snowed out.
