KEARNEY - Nebraska's Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League announced today that they have traded Troy Power to the Omaha Lancers. The Storm will receive Omaha's 3rd round draft pick in the 2009 Draft.Power, a 5'11", 180 pound forward from Camarillo, California, appeared in a Storm sweater for 58 games in the 2007-2008 season. In those 58 games, Power netted 5 goals and handed out 8 assists for 13 points on the year.
"Last year, Troy had a great start to his junior career and we hope he continues to improve and that he realizes his dream of playing Division 1 hockey," Head Coach Tom Rudrud stated.

More 'Power' To Omaha
Omaha coach Bliss Littler has acquired one of his former players last season in Tri-City. Forward Troy Power is making the trip east to Omaha. Power is a highly touted player, but didn't factor in on the scoresheet too often last season. Rumor also has forward Tom Craig ending up in Omaha as well, though I can not confirm that.
