Two New Committments

Cedar Rapids' Aaron Bogosian has committed to St. Lawrence University. Aaron finally made it to the USHL after being draft two previous times by Sioux City. He has accumulated 13 points so far this season, with 7 goals. The Massena, New York native has also amassed 43 PIM and a -4 ranking. Bogosian becomes just the 2nd player to commit to St. Lawrence so far this season.

“Aaron has worked very hard and has been a very good two way player for us,” said RoughRiders Coach and General Manager Mark Carlson. “We’re very happy that he is going to have the chance to continue his career at a strong college program like St. Lawrence.”

The second, Waterloo's Blake Kessel, has committed to the University of New Hampshire. Many thought and probably hoped that Wisconsin would sign him and bring in another home grown talent, but ultimately Blake chose a school out east. Blake, Phil's younger brother, has put up some pretty impressive numbers for a 17 year old rookie defensemen. He has posted 14 points in 29 games and also boasts a +7 rating. The Verona, Wisconsin native is a big kid, standing in at 6'2" 210 lbs. I think Blake is an excellent player, and could easily be a top 5 defenseman in the NHL, as he was ranked 76th overall in the mid-term rankings.

As of now, it appears both will enroll at their respective schools next fall.
