Chicago Trades Scott Kozlak

The Chicago Steel made another move recently, this time trading veteran forward Scott Kozlak. Kozlak was traded to the Southern Minnesota Express (NAHL) and will join former teammate Ben Beaudoin there.

The deal will send overage forward Scott Kozlak (Duluth, MN) to the Southern Minnesota Express of the NAHL in exchange for future considerations. The 5'11", 175 pound centerman had 8 points this season (2-6--8) and was plus-1 in 15 games. He is expected to join the Express immediately. Kozlak was in his second USHL season, beginning his career last year in Des Moines before being acquired by the Steel last December. He had the top shootout percentage of any player in the USHL last year.

It was reported that Kozlak asked for a trade and didn't travel with the team on their past road trip. Scott was 4th on the team in scoring prior to the trade. Kozlak becomes the Express' 8th overage player.
