In Northeastern’s matchup with Maine last Friday at Alfond Arena, Costello assisted on Northeastern’s first goal, then scored the game-winning goal as the Huskies rolled to a 6-1 win. The following night, he scored the first goal of the game as the Huskies eventually lost, 2-1, in overtime. His goal on Saturday was his 10th of the season, giving him a 10-10-20 scoring line in 24 games. The last NU freshman to get 20 points in a season was current senior Mike Morris, who had a 9-12-21 line in 26 games in 2002-03.
This is the 2nd time Chad has been named the Rookie of the Week.
