Coming up short in the concistency department is the job of the coach. Totally flawed logic on your part.

This is from Koehler's Steel bio that they took down but you can find on google images still. He has a pretty good track record.

"At all his Junior-A stops, Koehler has been responsible for scouting, evaluating and recruiting talent as well as drafting, signing, and trading players and all other player personnel decisions. In his five years of Junior A hockey experience prior to joining the Steel, Koehler has acquired 85 NCAA Division I college hockey players and had 15 NHL Draft picks on his rosters."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-74495102133476137702007-12-31T18:04:00.000-05:002007-12-31T18:04:00.000-05:00Wow, a blogging doofus who clearly knows very litt...Wow, a blogging doofus who clearly knows very little about hockey outside of the fantasy realm. Go ask some college coaches and NHL scouts about the team Koehler put together in Chicago for Poapst who had ZERO coaching experience above the youth level. Can't blame the GM when the coach he's forced to deal with doesn't know how to coach at that level.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-84739818735655951592007-11-22T13:03:00.000-05:002007-11-22T13:03:00.000-05:00Does anyone know what kind of coaching or manageme...Does anyone know what kind of coaching or management experience Poapst had before coming to Chicago? I looked him up on Hockey DB and they only showed stats from his playing career.

Also are the Chicago owners that bad? I've been bitten by the USHL bug and am going to a lot of Steel games. Will they be around for awhile and will they be competitive?Mr Ricochethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12964127419576553688noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-14868512337062990272007-11-17T14:49:00.000-05:002007-11-17T14:49:00.000-05:00well harkins is not the answer...do you realize ho...well harkins is not the answer...do you realize how much of a crook he is? That guy has been fired and sent packing more times then i can count. What has that man proved anywhere he has went? Do you also realize what it is like working in Chicago. The owners, all they do is come to the games or to the rink in General smelling like they just got done drinking grandpa's cough medicine all day. Maybe if they would sober up a bit they can actually make some good decisions with that organization. All it is for them is a tax write off. Surprised the Gino even allows that team to still operate. I have not ever heard one good thing come out an employee of the Steel working for that organization. I advise everyone to stay away! Last if Harkins brings in such great talent, then why in the hell did they go 13-40? I mean a guy could sit on the bench and not even say anything to the players the whole game and have a better record then that. This year I see they are on the same path with a whopping record of 2-7. Nice Job Gino for letting Doug Mclean suck up to you and even allowing this team to be where they are. I mean come on 450 people a night at there games!! That is a joke!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-7881795157980107132007-11-14T09:32:00.000-05:002007-11-14T09:32:00.000-05:00hahahahahmaybe he was paying too much attention to...hahahahah

maybe he was paying too much attention to the boys in chicago....

harkins??? hahahahah

yeah top-notch.....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-61763179290090109442007-11-14T01:23:00.000-05:002007-11-14T01:23:00.000-05:00i don't like harkins, but he brings in top notch t...i don't like harkins, but he brings in top notch talent. hate to admit it, but the gm is not the problem in ohio. send harkins to chicago and you'd have a winner, or get harkins a decent coach in ohio, either way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-9858523196359036272007-11-13T18:31:00.000-05:002007-11-13T18:31:00.000-05:00Could Harkins be next in Ohio?????Could Harkins be next in Ohio?????Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6338873447740614249.post-24706710055316372222007-11-13T17:40:00.000-05:002007-11-13T17:40:00.000-05:00LOL...what a dorkLOL...what a dorkAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
